Description:

1861 CSA HALF DOLLAR HISTORY: No one knows the exact number of 1861 Confederate Halves minted. The coins were struck at the New Orleans Mint, and feature a seated Lady Liberty on the obverse, and a confederate shield and the phrase 'CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA' on the reverse. The obverse Lady Liberty is actually a crude copy of the USA Seated Half Dollar obverse. Mintage of these rare CSA half dollars ceased with the capture of New Orleans by the Union Army. This commemorative coin comes in airtight removable plastic protector. All our replica coins, reproduction coins, or copy coins comply with the US Hobby Protection Act - 15USC-2101 regarding the sale and manufacture of reproduction coins. Unless stated as .999 silver replica coins, all gold and silver reproduction coins are plated. All our reproduction coins, replica coins, and/or copy coins are non-monetary.

  • MINT 1861 CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA (CSA) BRILLIANT SILVER HALF DOLLAR PROOF REPLICA COIN

  • THIS BEAUTIFUL PROOF IS EXACT SIZE JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL ONE MINTED BY THE CONFEDERATE STATES DURING THE CIVIL WAR

  • LAYERED IN .999 PURE SILVER

  • 30.6mm diameter
